Two things, actually ...
First of all, my eldest daughter M'ma-Syrai is starring as Raynell in August Wilson's Fences from August 19 until September 13.
Directed by Gregg Daniel (who also directed M'ma-Syrai in Wedding Band at the Anteus), this complex tale is one of August Wilson's set of plays depicting areas of the Black experience in the 20th century, this time set in 1965. A challenging work and a great role for my not-so-little thespian!
Second, music fans can groove under the stars as Hannibal returns for this fourth year DJing at the Los Angeles County Fair's Long Board Bar for pre- and post-concert shows near the grandstand.
